Give Your Kids the Lifelong Gifts of Personal Success, Confidence, Discipline and Self-Defense
Every day across North America, thousands of children miss school due to fear or intimidation from bullies. Many experts believe that bullying is a leading cause of low self-confidence in children. Alarmingly, fewer than 15% of kids report acts of bullying. At iMA Sports Novi, we understand that most bullies act out of insecurity, targeting those who appear smaller or weaker.
Our program is built around three core objectives:
Confident children are less likely to be bullied. We empower our students by teaching techniques that neutralize attacks from larger opponents, fostering self-assurance and resilience.
Bullying can be physical or verbal and vary in intensity. Each lesson at iMA Sports Novi teaches children to recognize and respond effectively to common bullying behaviors.
A critical step in overcoming bullying is making it clear that harassment will not be tolerated. We prepare students to confront and defuse bullying assertively and non-violently. We teach children to use words to diffuse confrontations and to avoid initiating physical aggression. If physically attacked, they learn non-violent techniques to neutralize threats and maintain control until help arrives. At iMA Sports Novi, we instill the principle of “fighting fire with water,” ensuring students can stay calm under pressure. Beyond practical skills, our character development program fosters values essential for lifelong success.

YOUR CHILD WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!
Children are like sponges. They absorb things quickly and easily – far more easily than we do as adults. In fact, parents can sometimes see a difference in their kids after just one martial arts class. Each additional class they attend increases their knowledge and growth.
Not only are they getting healthier as they learn martial arts, they’re also learning the value of self-discipline and respect. When you enroll your child in a martial arts class, you’re giving them much more than the physical skills we teach. You’re giving them the opportunity to thrive.
